A planned community about 1.5 miles west of Route 1 along Fred Hudson Road just north of Bethany, the Salt Pond consists of almost 600 single family homes interspersed with several groupings of townhouses. Built among the fairways of a beautifully-maintained 18-hole Executive Golf Course, this community has a clubhouse, basketball court, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and access to the salt pond for kayaking. Some properties have views of the Salt Pond lagoon and canals. Most properties are second homes, but there are a good number of permanent residents as well. A shopping center is conveniently located on the northwest corner of the development.
