Hot Month: Hot Sales!

One of the top news stories of the summer has been the higher-than-normal temps.  The weather isn't the only thing around Rehoboth that's been hot, however!  The number of new listings, contracts written and settlements have risen with the thermometer here at The Debbie Reed Team!  Eleven new sellers joined our team by listing their homes with us in July.  Eleven new contracts were written, and eight properties went to settlement during the month.  We have some wonderful listings in our portfolio, as well as an expanded, top-notch sales team.  We anticipate nothing but blue skies and increased numbers for the rest of the summer and into the fall, no matter what the weather outside.  If you need the services of a professional REALTOR(r) who knows the Coastal Delaware market, call The Debbie Reed Team (302-227-3818), and we will be glad to help you.

FireworksA Festive Fourth of July for All!

The fun begins in Lewes, with the Annual Old Fashioned 4th of July, from 9am-4pm, on Second Street in Lewes.  There will be games for the kids, an Independence Day Boat Parade on the Canal (2pm), and the Lewes Doo-Dah parade at 5pm.

After a day full of fun, head toward Rehoboth Beach for the evening festivities.  The U.S. Navy Cruisers will play at the Bandstand on Rehoboth Ave. in the early evening, before the fireworks.  The fireworks will fly about 9:15pm and can be seen anywhere along the Boardwalk and beach.

Please note: Fireworks could go off as early as 8:00 PM if weather is threatening.  An early start will be due to emergency procedures, keeping in mind the safety of the public.  The rain date is the following night, July 5.  Please call 302-227-2772 for weather updates and plan to arrive in town early.

Finally, The Funsters will close out the evening with an energy-driven concert at the Bandstand.

It is recommended that those coming from outside of Rehoboth to listen, watch and enjoy, take advantage of the Kiwanis shuttle service, located in the field on Rt. 1 between County Bank and Jungle Jim's.  The Park 'n Ride also runs from Shuttle Rd., behind County Bank.  The Jolly Trolley will be running as well.  When you see all of the cars trying to leave town, you'll be glad you decided to "leave the driving" to someone else!
