Rehoboth Beach

North Rehoboth Boardwalk

Rehoboth Beach is the crown jewel of Delaware’s coast, known for its lively boardwalk lined with saltwater taffy shops, iconic restaurants, and boutique shopping. Known as “The Nation’s Summer Capital,” people are drawn to Rehoboth’s artsy energy, culinary scene, and welcoming community. Rehoboth’s iconic boardwalk dates back to 1873, making it one of the oldest seaside boardwalks in the country. The town blends classic seaside charm with an upscale, modern vibe, attracting a mix of young professionals, retirees, and vacationers. Rehoboth’s reputation for festivals – from the Sea Witch Parade to Jazz Fest – cements its role as the cultural heartbeat of Southern Delaware. The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand has hosted free summer concerts since 1963. Rehoboth has long been known as the “Gay Capital of the East Coast,” with a thriving LGBTQ+ community that has shaped the town’s culture, arts, and nightlife since the 1940s. You’ll also find the starting point for the Junction & Breakwater Trail here, a scenic 6-mile path that connects the town to neighboring Lewes. Once a railroad line, it now offers biking and walking with stunning views of coastal wetlands, farmland, and historic sites.
