Parking Meter"The Season" Opens Soon!

Signs of the season opening soon have been observed forthe past several weeks. Today, while walking to the bank, I saw city workers removing the blue bags from the parking meters, washing the screens and locking the bags back in place.  Come Friday, May 25, however, the bags will
come off and not be replaced until September.

Parking rates at all city meters will be $1.50/hour this summer.  Meters line the streets on Rehoboth Ave., and radiate several blocks to the north and south of the main drag.  Click here to see a Parking and Walking map.  Change machines are available at several downtown locations.  Credit cards may no longer be used at parking meters.  A new service is available instead, called Park Mobile.  Park Mobile utilizes one's smart phone to pay for parking.  Parking meters are in effect from 10:00 a.m. until midnight, daily.

Don't feel like feeding meters?  Visitors may purchase parking
permits to be used inside the city limits where there are no meters.  Parking permits range in price from $8 for a one day, weekday pass, to $175 for a non-transferable, all-season pass, and are available for purchase from salespeople found along the main streets coming into town.  Their stations are marked with orange cones and sun umbrellas.  The full list of types of passes and their costs may be found at the City of Rehoboth website.  Parking permits are required in the residential neighborhoods from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily, from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day Monday.

Two Memorial Day Ceremonies will be held in the area this Wednesday, May 30, beginning at 11:00 a.m.--one at the Rehoboth Bandstand (led by VFW Post 7447). and one at the Outdoor Pavillion on American Legion Rd. in Lewes (led by the American Legion Post 17).

IMG 2973Price Reduction in RBYCC!

A good bargain awaits a lucky buyer in the 4 bedroom/3.5 bath contemporary home listed at 7 London Circle in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club.  The home features hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, a screened-in porch overlooking the large, partially wooded lot and close proximity to Rehoboth, beach and boardwalk.  It is a short sale, so all offers will require approval of the seller’s lender, but for those with patience and loan pre-approval or cash, this offers a great opportunity at the newly reduced price of $416,130!
