Located just south of Gordon’s Pond State Park, this seaside neighborhood offers a pleasing mix of single family homes, condominiums and townhomes, some oceanfront or with full ocean views. North Shores is administrated by a Board of Governors and was the brainchild of developers J. Rodney King of Georgetown Delaware, and Daniel G. Anderson, of Rehoboth Beach Delaware. The land was purchased March 1, 1956, with the subdivision covenants recorded ten years later.
The centerpiece of the community today is the Bath & Tennis Club, which provides recreation facilities for residents and their guests during the summer months. Facilities include a fabulous swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, a marina with slips for 25 boats, and approximately 2,200 feet of private beach reserved for the exclusive use of members and their guests.
